The 33 years old ship was undergone dry-docking in Da Dong Ship yard, Shanghai, China. It was a grueling challenging docking task for such old lady. The ship needed to renew the accommodation air conditioner and cleaning of air con duct and boiler burner etc .
Prior docking, we informed all crucial vendors to send technicians on brd at Zhoushan, the last port of discharge to verify the parameter of equipment and supply to ensure correct supply of equipment to the dock.
Man Sang acted as the interpreter to connect those non English speaking vendors’ technicians with ship’s East European crew for preliminary briefing of jobs and exchange of ideas.
Man Sang managed the logistics of over 30 batches spares + stores consignments in systematic organized to save precise time so that we can focus on supervision of various docking activities and answer to grim class surveyor if in query.
Thank you Man Sang
